VML is a member agency of WPP, the world’s largest marketing communications services company. WPP companies operate from 2,400 offices in more than 100 countries. More than 150,000 individuals work for WPP companies around the globe.
VML joined WPP in 2001. At that time, VML had 100 employees divided between Kansas City and New York offices. In the past decade, VML has experienced unprecedented growth, with more than 900 people in the VML digital network today, balanced across offices in North America, Europe, Oceania and South America.
WPP comprises leading companies in advertising, media, consumer insight, public relations and public affairs, branding and identity, health care communications, direct, digital, promotion, and relationship marketing. The connection enables VML to partner with leading WPP agencies — including Y&R, Landor, Taxi and more — on a variety of global client assignments.
Recently VML was recognized by WPP in its respected WPPED Cream Awards competition. VML received the Best of Digital Crème de la Crème Award for Copia Interactive. Copia is the world’s first truly social eReading platform; VML led the project from inception.
The 2011 WPP Corporate Responsibility Report features VML’s pro bono work for water.org. VML partnered with water.org, a nonprofit organization committed to providing safe drinking water to people in developing countries, to create the One Week For Water website that encouraged people to “donate” their voice in support of water.org on Facebook and Twitter.
